Der Schönberg EPSR 1000 ist ein Pufferspeicher mit 889 l Nettoinhalt und integriertem unteren Glattrohrwärmetauscher. Er eignet sich für wassergeführte Heizungsanlagen und kann in Heizungs-, Festbrennstoff-, Solar- und BHKW-Systeme eingebunden werden, wenn die Gesamtanlage entsprechend geplant ist. Der Speicherbehälter besteht aus Qualitätsstahl S235JRG2 und ist für einen maximalen Behälterbetriebsdruck von 5 bar ausgelegt.

Buffer storage with 1 heat exchanger for heating, solar and CHP systems

Product description

Robust buffer storage tank made of high-quality S235JRG2 steel, manufactured according to DIN 4753 and EN 12897, with a permanently welded smooth-tube heat exchanger. The storage tank is raw inside and primed outside, sits on a stable base ring, and offers sufficient socket connections for flexible use in heating, solid fuel, solar, and combined heat and power systems.

Technical features

The buffer tank's sleeves are arranged at a 90° angle, facilitating easy installation and the combination of multiple tanks. Operating pressure: up to 1000 liters, max. 5 bar, up to 2000 liters, max. 3 bar. Volume variants and the number of sleeves are tailored to the application: 200–400 liters with one sleeve for an electric heating cartridge, 600–2000 liters with two sleeves.

Insulation variants

Choose from several insulation options: 100 mm STS EPS (efficiency class C), 130 mm STS EPS AirPor® (efficiency class B), or 150 mm PU super rigid foam insulation (efficiency class A) with a plastic sheath and sealing strip. The insulation is dimensionally stable, easy to install, and ensures optimized layering and reduced heat loss.

EPS AirPor® grey insulation

The modern EPS AirPor® insulation combines polystyrene foam with a graphite blend for improved heat reflection. The 130 mm version (110 mm EPS + 20 mm fleece) achieves efficiency class B, while the 100 mm version (80 mm EPS + 20 mm fleece) achieves efficiency class C. Advantages include up to 30% lower heat loss compared to conventional insulation materials, a perfect fit, and additional floor and roof insulation.

PU super rigid foam insulation

The 150 mm PU combination insulation (150 mm PU + 10 mm polyester fiber fleece) offers excellent insulation values ​​and energy efficiency class A. The fleece lamination prevents convection on the container wall and lid. The insulation is removable and allows for easy installation in all temperature conditions. Thermal conductivity according to DIN EN 12667: 0.023 W/mK, fire protection class DIN 4102: B2.

Assembly and connection

The 90° arrangement of the sleeves facilitates installation and the serial connection of multiple buffer tanks. Plug-in sealing strips and dimensionally stable insulation shorten installation times; retrofitting electric heating cartridges is easy for the sizes with sleeves. For optimal design, we recommend consulting your heating specialist.

Areas of application and recommendation

Ideal for heating backup, solar domestic hot water heating, solid fuel systems, and combined heat and power (CHP) plants. The buffer storage tank is suitable for both new installations and modernization projects where energy efficiency and easy integration into existing systems are required.
