Particle separator OekoTube-Inside – Efficient fine dust reduction for your wood-burning heating system

Features and Functionality

The OekoTube-Inside is an electrostatic particle separator, specially developed for wood-burning systems up to 100 kW. It is simply installed in the boiler room between the boiler and the chimney inlet and ensures a noticeable reduction in fine dust emissions.

The ionized stainless steel tube electrically charges fine dust particles, causing them to be deposited on the inner walls. This transforms dangerous fine particles into harmless larger particles that can later be easily removed.

Efficiency and performance

With a tested separation efficiency of up to 95% (at 0–25 kW), the OekoTube-Inside offers outstanding filtration performance. Even at higher power levels, efficiency remains high, with a separation efficiency of up to 80% in the 75–100 kW range.

Optional extensions such as longer electrodes and enlarged separation sections optimize cleaning intervals and adapt the system to individual performance requirements – particularly recommended for combustion systems over 50 kW.

Setup and installation

The particle separator is supplied as a pre-assembled pipe in lengths of 500 or 1000 mm. The chimney installer connects it directly to the flue, installing a cleaning opening both before and after the separator.

For existing chimneys, the flue pipe variant offers easy retrofitting. A template is used to cut an opening in the chimney, the insulator chamber is fixed in place, and the electrode is centered.

Operation and maintenance

An integrated temperature sensor automatically switches the OekoTube-Inside on and off at operating temperature. The separated particles collect on the inner wall and clump together to form coarse residue.

During the chimney sweep's inspection, the system is simply cleaned with a chimney brush. Thanks to flexible electrodes, no separate components need to be disassembled – manual cleaning is usually sufficient.

Funding opportunities and approvals

The OekoTube-Inside is eligible for BAFA funding and carries the German DIBT approval Z-7.4-3451. TÜV-certified safety and tested separation efficiencies make it a reliable solution for environmentally conscious heating system operators.
